Training Session on SAGP Android Application!


Executive Summary:


A one-day training session was successfully conducted on “the use of the Android application for recording SAGP (agriculture) beneficiary data” on 13th September 2017 with the financial assistance of Sindh Agricultural Growth Project (SAGP) funded by the World Bank. It was a well- organized activity with maximum participation of the 39 lead trainers involved in the SAGP (chili and onion groups).

The aims and objectives of the workshop were to:

  • Train relevant persons of PMU Agriculture (Chili & Onion Groups) about the use of Android Application for beneficiary data
  • Deliver data uploading procedure to online server in real
  • Clarify the queries of participants.

During the training, various issues regarding previous data collection procedures were discussed. The need and importance of Project Management Information System (PMIS) for collecting data through Android application was strongly communicated among participants. Participants were also trained on the use of Android app for data collection and uploading on se\rver through mock exercises. Participants actively participated in the training and contributed in developing implementation strategy for fast and smooth collection of data.

In the end, all participants ensured maximum cooperation to achieve all program objectives through concerted efforts at all levels.
